DIY Coffee Coconut Body Scrub

Skin feeling dry, flaky and dull? You might be in need of a body scrub. Body scrubs are essential for sloughing off dead skin cells and leaving you with baby soft skin that is better able to retain moisture. They also help you get a closer shave which prevents pesky ingrown hairs.

Our Coffee Coconut Body Scrub does all of that and more by channeling the moisturizing powers of our Organic Coconut Oil, and the invigorating, toning effects of coffee grounds. Easy as pie, this 3-ingredient DIY scrub will exfoliate, moisturize, and tone skin – minimizing the appearance of cellulite and giving your skin the wake-up call it needs.

The best part about this scrub is how simple it is to make (and the scent, the scent is great too).

What You’ll Need:

1 Cup of Coffee Grounds (feel free to use leftover grounds from your morning pot of coffee!)

½ Cup of Organic Coconut Oil

½ Cup of Sugar

What to Do:

Pour your coffee grounds and Coconut Oil into a glass bowl, and stir together to fully incorporate the grounds in the oil. Once your coffee and coconut oil are well combined, gently fold in your sugar. The sugar is going to be the primary exfoliant here so you don't want it to disappear in your mixture. Once you've added your sugar, feel free to spice things up by adding a few drops of your favorite essential oils. While the scrubs' coconut and coffee scent is already pretty scrumptious, we find that Peppermint Essential Oil really takes things to the next level and ups the cooling sensation when the scrub is applied on the body. If you've got a thing for sweets, try adding a few drops of vanilla extract instead!

Combine your ingredients until they’re well incorporated, and store in a glass jar. To boost the cellulite fighting benefits, store it in the fridge so it’s cool for application.
