Do It Yourself: Leave-In Hair Serum for All Hair Types

Some of the hardest products to swap for clean, natural alternatives are hair care products (it’s why we’re still working on expanding our hair care collection!). While many products on the market are great at making you think your hair is healthy (check out this post all about hair care for more on this), there aren’t many that actually moisturize, nourish, and boost the health of your tresses. Enter our easy to make hair serum. Made with only 3, 100% pure and organic oils, this hydrating oil serum doesn’t contain any silicones, parabens, or alcohols that can dry out and cause even more damage to hair – and it makes your hair feel and look great too! Here’s how to make it.

What You Need

  • 1 tsp. Organic Castor Oil – Strengthens hair and prevents breakage, nourishes scalp dryness, and adds volume.
  • 1 tbsp. Organic Jojoba Oil – Balances oil production on the scalp so you can wash less often.
  • 1 tbsp. Organic Argan Oil – Tames frizz, adds shine, and makes hair super soft.
  • A small dropper bottle

Optional: 3-5 drops of Tea Tree and or Lavender Essential Oil (these will add a natural fragrance and nourish the scalp.

 What To Do

To make your serum, simply combine your ingredients in a bowl and stir until the oils are well mixed. Using a small funnel, carefully pour your serum into the glass dropper bottle and there you have it! Your very own leave-in hair serum. Apply a couple of drops to damp hair after showering, or use an even smaller amount on dry, styled hair to tame frizz and nourish your ends.
