Do It Yourself: Post-Shave Oil

Post-shave care is often neglected, but it’s just as important as using a shaving cream during a shave or moisturizing your skin beforehand. Rather than spending forty dollars on a post-shave oil that is filled with synthetic ingredients or harsh chemicals, we’ve created an easy recipe showing you how to make your own natural post-shave oil for soft, happy skin.

What you’ll need:

-Measuring spoons

-A funnel

-Glass-dropper bottle

-2 TPSB Hemp Seed Oil – a great moisturizer

Hemp seed oil works well on all skin types. Containing anti-inflammatory properties that help soothe post-shave redness and irritation, hemp seed oil brings moisture and softness back to your skin.

-2 TPSB Grapeseed Oil— the friendliest of oils

Grapeseed oil is gentle and lightweight making it a good friend for all skin types. Rich in vitamins E, B, and D and containing anti-inflammatory properties, grapeseed oil is great to soften and calm skin roughen by a razor blade.

-A few drops Lavender Essential Oil— the ultimate calmer

If you’re prone to in-grown hairs, Lavender oil can help. This oil is full of anti-inflammatory properties that help soothe irritation and redness, and its antibacterial properties work to help damaged skin recover quickly.

What to do:

Use measuring spoons to measure out the amount of oils and then pour them into your glass-dropper bottle. If you want to avoid a spill, make sure to use a funnel. Gently swirl the bottle in your hand to ensure that the oils are mixed well, then lift the dropper and place the oil on skin.
