At Sky Organics, we love an at-home pamper session – it’s a time where you can unplug, recharge, and restore your mind, body, and spirit by giving yourself the time and attention you deserve. Read on to learn more about how to put together a spa-night of your very own – simply and naturally.
Have the Diffuser Ready
As soon as you walk in the door after a long day, turn on your Essential Oil Diffuser to help you wind down and prepare for the calming acts of self-care that are about to follow. We love diffusing Lavender for its stress-relieving properties – for more interest, add a few drops of Peppermint Oil as well to help clear your mind and promote easier breathing.
Enjoy a Long, Aromatherapeutic Shower or Bath
A steamy shower is a perfect precursor to a night of indulgent pampering. To make your shower extra special, leave a Shower Steamer on your shower floor. The Steamer will infuse the steam in your shower with the calming scent of essential oils, turning it into a spa-like experience.
If you're more of the bath-type - you need a bath bomb in your life. Packed with moisturizing coconut oil, and soothing epsom salts, bath bombs are a great way to treat your body to some TLC in the bath, all while enjoying their vivid colors and calming fragrances.
This is also a great time to exfoliate with an all-natural body scrub like our Sweet Orange Sugar Scrub: the sweet orange EO will help tone your skin and perk up your senses, while moisturizing mango butter and coconut oil leave skin baby-soft and perfectly hydrated.
Mask right Out of the Shower
After a long shower, we love to follow up with a clarifying and detoxifying face mask. By this point, the steam has softened your skin, making it easier for a face mask to pull out any impurities. For a heavy-duty treatment, we love our Indian Healing Clay – simply combine equal parts of each in a non-metal bowl and apply to dry or damp skin. If you want something a little less intense, opt for the Dead Sea Mud Mask, it moisturizes skin as it clarifies, making it perfect for those with more sensitive skin types. We recommend rinsing off with a damp washcloth after no more than 20 minutes.
Moisturize and Do You
Next up, we love to moisturize our bodies with a soothing body oil or body butter. We love this easy DIY Body Oil that uses calming Lavender Essential Oil and nourishing Almond Oil to moisturize skin and calm the mind, preparing it for a good night’s sleep. If you’re more keen on Body Butters, this DIY recipe is sure to do the trick and is easily customizable as you can add your favorite Essential Oils to give it its own unique scent. While you wait for your oils or butter to sink in, catch up on that show you’ve been meaning to watch, or read through that book that’s been collecting dust on your nightstand – whatever makes you feel good.
There you have it! Our must-haves for having your own personal spa evening at home. What are your favorite ways to pamper yourself?
